"The New Digital Age"

As we progress further into the "digital age", how is technology transforming our lives?

Bett and Russ discuss the recent book from Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen entitled, The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business.

There's much in this book to interest a Software Architect, and given that software professionals are key craftsmen in building the new digital age, we should all be reflecting on the potential good and bad impact of the technology we create.  This book touches on many facets of society, and therefore offers many chances to productively reflect.

Notes:
We alluded to this article when talking about privacy: You Have No Control Over Security on the Feudal Internet by Bruce Schneier in the Havard Business Review.

The future of health care was also mentioned, and after we recorded, Bett came across this very interesting news coverage by NBC: iDoctor: Could a smartphone be the future of medicine?
